Is pursuing one’s own “needs” more important than “subjecting our children to an experiment” in child care that may fail?
What choices do these middle- to upper-class moms have? Working part time, job sharing, working in the home, altering (lowering) one’s life style are all viable considerations. There are so many homes that “look so much like the American dream” filled with children being raised by strangers.
