Steaming Over Scotland

What a dazzling article by Gena Reisner, “Scotland By Train” (April 2). It combined two of my favorite interests: Scotland and railroads. The pictures were outstanding. There was one omission, however. It could have used more information about the unbelievable Isle of Skye. Near the southern tip at Armadale is the partially restored ancestral home of Clan Donald. It offers beautiful grounds (with its own ranger), restaurant facilities in original stables and lodgings next to Armadale Castle. The restoration was accomplished by Clan Donald members from all over the world. There is no charge for a filmed history of the area. The center has received many merit awards.
