Leningrad’s Maly Drama Theatre will present the U.S. premiere of its seven-hour production of “Brothers and Sisters” at San Diego’s “Treasures of the Soviet Union” arts festival Oct. 22-Nov. 12. A dramatization of a trilogy of novels by Fyodor Abramov, the play depicts the grim realities of rural life in the Soviet Union following World War II.
