Golf Roundup : A Four-Way Tie at Greensboro

Ken Green, bent on making amends for a playoff loss to Sandy Lyle last year, shot a six-under-par 66 Friday to join three other players in the second-round lead of the $1-million Greater Greensboro Open golf tournament at Greensboro, N.C.

Tied with Green at 139 were Jim Booros, the lone survivor from a five-way tie for first place after the opening round, Dave Eichelberger and Duffy Waldorf.

Booros shot a 70, while Eichelberger shot a 67 and Waldorf, a former All-American at UCLA, playing under his third tour card after failing twice to make enough money to retain it, shot a 68.

Defending champion Rosie Jones shot her second straight 68 to share the lead with Kathy Postlewait, who shot a 69, after two rounds of the women’s USX tournament at Gulfport, Fla.

Both players were at 136, one shot ahead of four others.

Chi Chi Rodriguez birdied the 18th hole for a 1-up match-play victory over Doug Dalziel that helped the United States increase its lead over the International team to 21-11 after two rounds of the Seniors Chrysler Cup at Sarasota, Fla.
