The Rancho Palos Verdes Redevelopment Agency will spend $235,000 to improve parking and picnic areas at the Abalone Cove Shoreline Preserve.
The money, which is a loan from the city, will be repaid from parking fees collected at the beach. Improvements near Abalone Cove will include expanding the existing parking lot and adding new picnic areas and fencing along the bluff, said Mary Thomas, the agency’s leisure services director.
