Westminster Vietnamese and Former CIA Chief

The comments made by Councilmen Frank Fry confirmed my belief that many individuals welcome--only--those customs associated with descendants of European ancestry.
The Westminster City Council should make an effort to understand the editorial “Refugees Deserve Tolerance” (April 16).
I have read, with disbelief, of the objections raised by many to the “Little Saigon” signs and of car bumper stickers that read “When the last American leaves Westminster, please take the American flag.” What incredible ignorance. The Southeast Asians in Westminster are Americans!
Orange County needs to wake up. Little Saigon does not detract from our community or from being “American” but rather it adds historical value and culture that should be welcomed and enjoyed.
As a non-Vietnamese, I take pride in having Little Saigon as a part of our community and you can bet I’ll be at the parade.
