A crowd estimated at 100,000 lined the streets of Dallas for a parade and city hall ceremony honoring Tom Landry, the only head coach the Dallas Cowboys had for their first 29 seasons.
Landry, who was fired when the Cowboys were sold during the winter, said he got “choked up” while riding in the parade “looking into the faces of the people who have meant so much to you.”
