John H. Carlson has been appointed president and chief executive of Security Pacific Securities Inc., a subsidiary of Security Pacific Corp., Los Angeles. Richard G. Beggs has been named chief operating officer. Carlson previously was managing director of Security Pacific Merchant Bank, in charge of financial strategies. Beggs previously was senior vice president and director of operations, finance and administration at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
