Youth Held in Death of Panorama City Man

A Panorama City man was fatally stabbed by a resident of the apartment building where he lived after the two began fighting, Los Angeles police said Monday.

Darron Brown, 23, died at Panorama Community Hospital shortly after the stabbing at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 14700 block of Titus Street, Detective Phil Morritt said.

A 17-year-old, who lives in the apartment complex where Brown lived, was arrested on suspicion of murder, authorities said. The teen-ager is scheduled to be arraigned today, Morritt said.

Morritt said the two men, who were acquaintances, had been fighting in the youth’s apartment when the youth pulled a knife and stabbed Brown several times in the upper torso.
