Ruelas Settles for a Decision in Super Bantamweight Bout

Gabriel Ruelas, puncher, turned into Gabriel Ruelas, boxer, Tuesday night at The Showboat Hotel in Las Vegas.

After knocking out six of his first nine opponents, the unbeaten 18-year-old super bantamweight from North Hollywood turned to finesse, defense and sharp combinations to win a unanimous four-round decision over Mario Lozano (22-8) of El Paso. Ruelas won every round on all three judges’ score cards.
