A 20-month-old girl died after apparently eating rat poison at a Parlier jewelry store where her mother was shopping. Fresno County sheriff’s deputies said Margarita Zepeda was playing on the floor, where she apparently found and ate the rat poison while her mother was talking to a clerk. The baby was rushed to Selma District Hospital but was dead on arrival.
