Hollywood : Hearing on Traffic Plans
The Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency will hold a public hearing Wednesday on proposals to manage traffic in Hollywood and revitalize Hollywood Boulevard.
The Board of Commissioners will hear testimony on drafts of the Hollywood Transportation Plan and the Hollywood Boulevard District Urban Design Plan. Both proposals are elements of the broader Hollywood Redevelopment Plan, which was adopted in 1986 for an 1,100-acre section of central Hollywood.
The transportation plan will attempt to manage traffic and congestion problems over the next 20 years, while the Hollywood Boulevard plan will establish development guidelines for that thoroughfare. After they have been reviewed by the commissioners, they will be forwarded to the city’s Planning Commission and the City Council for adoption.
The hearing will be held at 9 a.m. in the Redevelopment Agency’s fourth-floor board room, 354 S. Spring St., Los Angeles. The commissioners will accept written testimony until June 1. Comments may be mailed to the agency’s Hollywood Project Office, 6255 Sunset Blvd., Suite 711, Hollywood, Calif. 90028.
