Morton Thiokol, Inc., Chicago, has named U. Edwin Garrison president and chief executive of Thiokol Corp., effective July 1. In addition, the board named Gen. Robert T. Marsh, USAF (Ret.), chairman of Thiokol. Morton Thiokol will become Thiokol Corp. on July 1 after Morton Thiokol spins off its commercial businesses to stockholders. As announced earlier, Charles S. Locke, presently chairman and chief executive of Morton Thiokol, will become chairman and chief executive of Morton International, Inc.
