Lane closures will continue this weekend on the Ventura Freeway in Woodland Hills, with only one westbound lane open from Fallbrook Avenue to Parkway Calabasas during night and morning hours.
State Department of Transportation officials are urging motorists to avoid the westbound freeway from 10 tonight to 8 a.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday. Eastbound lanes will remain open throughout the weekend.
In addition to the lane closures, the following six on- and off-ramps will remain closed for about the next two months:
Westbound Topanga Canyon Boulevard on-ramp.
Westbound Valley Circle Boulevard off-ramp.
Westbound Parkway Calabasas off-ramp.
Westbound Woodlake Avenue on-ramp.
Eastbound Valley Circle Boulevard/Mulholland Drive off-ramp.
Eastbound Fallbrook Avenue off-ramp.
During the weekend construction period, westbound motorists are being advised to exit the freeway at De Soto or Canoga avenues and proceed west on Ventura Boulevard to the Long Valley Road on-ramp to re-enter the freeway.
