Police homicide detectives have arrested a transient in connection with the bludgeoning death of a downtown resident this week, authorities said.
Police spokesman Bill Robinson said detectives arrested Russell Mark Feet, 28, at 10:30 p.m. Thursday near Broadway and 9th Avenue.
Robinson said Feet is suspected of killing John McClendon, 52, whose nude body was found Tuesday morning in his ransacked apartment in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue. He died of head wounds.
Feet, 28, is being held without bail in County Jail.
