Chino 50, Thousand Oaks 39--Lancer center Jenn Detmer was held to 12 points in a semifinal loss to perennial Southern Section power Chino.

Thousand Oaks (6-3) led, 14-7, before Chino pulled ahead, 16-14, after a 9-0 run late in the first quarter. The Cowgirls (9-4) never trailed after that.

In first-round games of the L.A. Baptist tournament:

L.A. Baptist 39, Providence 24--Deanna Bergeson had 21 points and 13 rebounds for the Knights (3-4).

St. Genevieve 39, Carpinteria 19--Andrea Prieta scored 17 points, including five three-point baskets, for the Valiants (3-10).

Notre Dame 53, Highland 24--Amy McGinnis scored 11 points and Susan Wallace added nine points and seven assists for the Knights.
