Thompson to Play in All-Star Game

Tina Thompson, 1993 Times Orange County player of the year in girls’ soccer, will play Feb. 2 in the Umbro Select College All-Star Classic for outstanding college seniors in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Thompson graduated from Canyon High School.

Thompson, a goalkeeper at Washington and the team’s most valuable player, was named All-Pac-10 for the second year in a row. The Huskies, ranked 13th at the time, lost in the first round of the NCAA playoffs.
