College Offers Class in Workplace Issues

Irvine Valley College is offering a class that will address the changing dynamics of the culturally diverse work force.

The course, starting Jan. 14, will help managers learn how social and cultural experiences affect employees’ performance.

“A diverse work force often leads to higher creativity, productivity and profitability. Yet diversity can also bring communication and cultural gaps that might hinder these objectives,” said Reg Sobczak, associate faculty member at college’s School of Business Sciences.
