LAGUNA NIGUEL — Coroner’s deputies are asking the public for help in identifying a man who apparently collapsed while jogging Friday and died at the hospital shortly afterward, authorities said.
The man, described by investigators as white and about 55 years old, was found on a bike path near Marina Hills Drive and Parc Vista about 9:45 a.m., coroner’s Deputy Cullen Ellingburgh said. The man was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, where he died of natural causes less than an hour later, authorities said.
He was wearing a sleeveless gray T-shirt, blue Speedo shorts and white Nike sneakers. He was 5-feet-7 and 188 pounds with graying brown hair and mustache, authorities said.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the man to call (714) 647-7400.
