Valencia High Has Record Food Drive
Pizza was the motivating factor in Valencia High School’s most successful holiday canned food drive in the school’s history. Students donated 5,988 cans this year, more than doubling last year’s figure of 2,213.
The food went to the Orange County Food Distribution Center, which gave it to needy families in Placentia.
Students in a seniors’ economics class took top honors by donating 1,322 cans. They enjoyed a holiday pizza party for their efforts.
