Familiar Faces Coming Up Soon

Unofficially, the reunion tour started Friday night, when the Lakers saw the Kings again, playing Sacramento for the second time in two nights. Officially, it begins the next game.

They travel to Vancouver today for a Sunday meeting with the Grizzlies, who are starting Anthony Peeler and George Lynch, traded from the Lakers in the summer as the final step in the salary-cap purge to sign Shaquille O’Neal.

After playing Monday at Portland, the Lakers return to Los Angeles. Soon, so do Vlade Divac and Pat Riley. The Charlotte Hornets come through Wednesday in what will be Divac’s first Forum game as an opponent, although he has already played against the Clippers at the Sports Arena. Riley brings the hot Heat in Friday.

Cedric Ceballos, barring a late setback, is expected to start practicing Tuesday, not Monday.
