CorVel Expands Stock Repurchase Program

IRVINE — Managed health-care program provider CorVel Corp. said its directors have approved an expansion of a previously announced stock repurchase program to enable the company to buy back as many as 250,000 shares, or 5% of the outstanding common stock. Previously, the company was authorized to repurchase 100,000 shares. Since the board authorized the stock repurchase program in August 1996, the company has repurchased approximately 75,000 shares for about $2 million.
