New Federal Rules

I read with interest “1997 Ushers in a Fresh Batch of Federal Rules” (Jan. 1). I certainly think it is important for the public to be aware of the way administrative agencies operate and the tremendous amount of power, given them by Congress, they have over the day-to-day lives of Americans.
What galls me about the article is its infrequent appearance [of its subject] in your newspaper. This kind of reporting, while not the most glamorous, is very important in creating an informed and educated citizenry.
