King update--In losing their last three games, the Kings have become the worst team in the NHL. Their pace does not even match their record at this point the last three non-playoff seasons. With nearly all of their East Coast trips completed, however, the Kings are not out of the playoff race. Starting tonight against the Canucks, four of their next seven games will be against teams with sub-.500 records.

Canuck update--Pavel Bure scored two goals and Alexander Mogilny had a goal and two assists when the Canucks defeated the Kings last week in Vancouver, 4-3. The Canucks’ three regular defensemen, Bret Hedican, Chris Joseph and Jyrki Lumme, did not play against the Kings but could play tonight.
