ADT Ltd., the nation’s largest burglar alarm company, has rejected a $2.6-billion takeover bid from the utility Western Resources Inc. as inadequate and will ask shareholders to oppose the offer. . . . Price Waterhouse said it received a license from China allowing it to become the first U.S. Big Six accounting firm to establish a member firm in that country. . . . Internal Revenue Service chief Margaret Milner Richardson plans to resign at the end of this year’s tax-filing season, the agency said. . . . New York-based Warnaco Group Inc. said it purchased the remaining 12% of Lejaby SA/Euralis, a leading French lingerie and swimwear maker, for about $9.3 million.
