Children with a talent for handsprings, cartwheels and round-offs can take advantage of Ventura Community Services Department classes in beginning and intermediate gymnastics.
The classes, for children ages 3 to 13, are scheduled to begin the week of Jan. 27. There are four-week sessions offered at Balboa Middle School on Mondays and Wednesdays, and six-week sessions on Tuesdays and Saturdays at Barranca Vista Center. Classes cost $22 to $35.
The department is also looking for instructors with a background in sports to teach soccer, basketball, T-ball and tennis classes to children. Those interested in teaching sports or learning gymnastics should contact Marcia Grambling at 658-4746 at City Hall.
