Goaltender Stephane Fiset, who won his first game in a month in the Kings’ 6-2 victory over Vancouver on Tuesday night, will get his fourth consecutive start tonight when the Kings play host to Buffalo.
After a recent three-game span in which Fiset (6-16-3) gave up 14 goals, the Kings decided to give him more work to help his confidence.

Second-year defenseman Jan Vopat has given the King defense a boost with his steady play since returning to the lineup two games ago. Vopat had sat out most of the season because of a back injury.
“He’s made a big difference for us,” Coach Larry Robinson said. “He’s playing like a seasoned veteran.”

Vitali Yachmenev, out the last four games because of an ankle injury, might return to the lineup for Saturday’s game against St. Louis. . . . Yanic Perreault, sidelined because of a stomach injury, is probable for St. Louis.
