Pronger’s Prowess With Puck Pays Off

The Ducks called up center Sean Pronger, 24, from minor-league affiliate Baltimore, rewarding him for scoring 26 goals in 41 games.
“You have to reward people who work hard down there,” Coach Ron Wilson said, also calling it a move to “keep people on edge” after the Ducks’ performance slipped recently.

Brian Bellows, who has one goal in the last eight games, was dropped to the fourth line. . . . Backup goalie Mikhail Shtalenkov missed the morning skate after being involved in an automobile accident but was on the bench for the game. . . . Right wing Teemu Selanne played in his 300th NHL game.
