Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman each played on two of the 10 teams chosen the best in NBA history.

Chamberlain starred on the 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers and 1971-72 Lakers, Jordan led the 1991-92 and ‘95-96 Chicago Bulls and Rodman played on the ‘88-89 Detroit Pistons and ‘95-96 Bulls.

The 1986-87 Lakers, featuring Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, became the franchise’s second team chosen for the list.

The other teams chosen were the 1965-66 Bill Russell-led Boston Celtics, the ‘69-70 New York Knicks featuring Willis Reed, the ‘82-83 76ers starring Julius Erving and Moses Malone and the ‘85-86 Celtics featuring Larry Bird.

The 10 teams were chosen by a panel of media who regularly cover the league. As part of the NBA’s 50th-year celebration, voters were asked to select the top 10 teams without ranking them.
