Tours Scheduled at City Founder’s Home

Historical Casa Romantica will be open to the public Saturday in honor of Founders Day.
The San Clemente Historical Society and the Casa Romantica Cultural Foundation will conduct tours of the home, which was the residence of Ole Hanson, the former Seattle mayor credited with founding the city in the mid-1920s.
A birthday celebration for Hanson and former President Richard Nixon, whose Western White House was located in San Clemente, will start at noon.
The society also will present a display of local historical photos throughout the home.
The tours are scheduled for 11:15 a.m., 12:45, 2 and 3 p.m. The home is at 415 Avenida Granada.
