For the first time this season, the Kings are getting offensive production from more than one line.
After a monthlong slump, forwards Vladimir Tsyplakov and Dimitri Khristich are playing well at the same time. They have combined for four goals and seven assists in the last two games. Kai Nurminen, who joined the Russian line in the Kings’ win over Vancouver, also has played well with two assists.
With Ian Laperriere moving to right wing and joining center Neal Broten and left wing Kevin Stevens, the Kings’ first line also has been effective, combining for three goals and three assists.

Defenseman Rob Blake has begun skating with a new fitted cast on his broken right hand and could play during the Kings’ upcoming trip to Detroit and Toronto.
