Arizona junior guard Miles Simon had his academic eligibility restored Friday and will accompany the No. 7 Wildcats to Tempe for today’s game at Arizona State. Simon, who had started 39 of 55 games and averaged 11.6 points per game, sat out Arizona’s first 11 games. Arizona Coach Lute Olson said Simon did extra classwork the past few months in order to regain his eligibility. . . .

An NCAA committee denied an appeal by Temple freshman guard Quincy Wadley for eligibility to play this year because he did not fulfill academic requirements to be eligible as a freshman.
