The Four Seasons hotels in Bali and Beverly Hills now offer guests boxed food to go aboard planes, trains or cars, and the company plans to extend the program to all its 37 hotels by the end of this year, it said.
“We aren’t slamming airline food,” insisted Gerrie Pitt, spokeswoman for Four Seasons Beverly Hills, who noted that many guests in the upscale hotel fly business or first class. But she said many guests had requested the service. Guests usually place their orders the night before and pick them up on checkout.
In Beverly Hills, cold entrees to go range from $14 to $25 and include curried chicken salad and grilled lobster panini. In Bali, entrees range from $9 to $19, including California chopped salad and chilled green tea noodles dipped in soba soup.
