Sheriff, 7 Others Slain in Guerrero

Seven Mexicans were gunned down in an ambush and an eighth was slain earlier in the mountains of the southwestern state of Guerrero, authorities said. The mayor of San Miguel Totolapan said the sheriff of a neighboring town heard his brother had been killed in San Miguel Totolapan and went to investigate with six others. They found the dead brother but were ambushed and killed, he said.
