Xircom Introduces Global Modem Products

Xircom Inc. in Thousand Oaks has begun shipping two new modem products designed for businesses that need to communicate internationally by computer.

GlobalACCESS CreditCard Ethernet+Modem 33.6 and CreditCard Modem 33.6 are the latest of Xircom’s modem products designed for connections worldwide.

“Our multinational customers have asked that we make our internationally certified products available in the United States,” said Renee Bader, senior director of product marketing for Xircom. “We have made a significant investment in obtaining local country approvals in major European and Asia/Pacific countries [and] we continue to work toward adding more country approvals.”

GlobalACCESS 33.6 and CreditCard Modem 33.6 can be purchased for $405 and $255, respectively, in single-unit quantities.
