Litton Data Systems Wins Italian Air Force Contract

Litton Data Systems Division has been awarded a $20-million contract from the Italian Air Force to manufacture, test and deliver various air command and air control function modules.
Litton’s equipment is derived from its mobile air command and control systems used by the U.S. Marine Corps.
Litton said the Italian Air Force first tried Litton’s mobile tactical air command systems during the Gulf War.
Litton Data Systems is a unit of Litton Industries Inc., a major defense contractor based in Woodland Hills.
