* Storyline--One of the NHL’s most improved teams meets one of the hottest in this matchup of division leaders. The Stars, who lead the Central Division, had 49 points at the halfway mark, up from 32 last season. They have struggled offensively lately but have stayed ahead of the Detroit Red Wings. The Penguins, first in the Northeast, are 9-0-2 since Dec. 19 and have lost only twice in their last 23. Mario Lemieux has 33 points--14 goals, 19 assists--in a 12-game scoring streak.
