Alice James died at Columbia Huntington Beach Hospital and Medical Center shortly after the 7 a.m. collision, according to Huntington Beach Lt. Chuck Thomas.
A passenger in James’ car, Nancy Siracki, 64, also of Huntington Beach, sustained a minor wrist injury in the crash, Thomas said.
James was driving west on Slater when she tried to turn left at Van Buren, police said. Her car collided with a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck wasn’t injured.
