The city’s Child Care Project has been awarded a $334,619 grant from the California Department of Education to provide low-cost child care before and after school hours.
The grant will be used to provide care for children in kindergarten through sixth grade and for families who meet eligible income requirements.
Day-care services will be offered at six elementary school sites: Deerfield, Turtle Rock, University Park, Greentree, Northwood and Westpark.
The program begins Feb. 3.
Parents who want to apply for child-care services can call Nancy Noble at (714) 724-6633.
