ANAHEIM — Police are seeking witnesses to an accident in which an electrical contractor was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer rig.
Robert Anthony Vasquez, 29, was on his way to Disneyland to do contract work about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday when his pickup collided with a Peterbilt rig pulling out of a parking lot in the 2100 block of East Ball Road, police investigator Rick Alexander said.
“Upon arrival, officers found both vehicles on the roadway, with the front of the pickup truck wedged under the flatbed trailer,” Alexander said.
Vasquez was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange with head injuries and died the next day, Alexander said. The driver of the tractor-trailer rig was not cited pending the investigation’s completion, authorities said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the accident to call (714) 254-1861.
