Gang Counselor Will Give Talk

The East Valley Coordinating Council will welcome a speaker with 25 years of experience dealing with gang members at a meeting Tuesday.
Lawrence Hernandez, who has a master’s degree in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, is the founder of City Works, an organization that offers counseling to gang members and their families. At Tuesday’s meeting, he plans to discuss the dynamics between gang members and the community.
The meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Community Room of the First United Methodist Church of North Hollywood, 4832 Tujunga Ave.
