Bruins’ Troubles Are Nothing New

A typically vacant local news anchor, referring to 109-61, said something like, “Where are you, Jim Harrick, now that we need you?” However, the only difference between Stanford’s record trashing of UCLA and past Harrick-style fiascoes was that Stanford made more wide-open three-point shots.
Steve Lavin is simply Harrick with a power haircut--one more “stroker” whose basic coaching concept is simple positive reinforcement. Which is why UCLA looks like the Keystone Pointguards every time it faces a well-coached team.
Does this group have a shot at becoming the Bruins’ greatest underachievers ever? Does Toby Bailey turn over the ball? Can Jelani McCoy miss free throws?
