Pepperdine, a consensus pick to finish last in the West Coast Conference, is in a four-way tie for first after beating Loyola on Wednesday, 59-52. It was the first road victory of the season for the Waves, who will try to win two games in a row for the first time since last January. The Waves have allowed an average of 63.5 points, best among WCC teams.
