Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be observed Monday:
* Federal, state, county and some city offices will be closed.
* Federal, state and county courthouses will be closed.
* City and county libraries will be closed.
* Banks and savings and loans will be closed.
* Schools will be closed.
* There will be no mail pickup or delivery. All post offices will be closed, except World Way Air-Mail Center, 5800 Century Blvd., Los Angeles. Express and Special Delivery will be delivered.
* Trash collections will proceed as regularly scheduled.
* Buses and Metrolink trains will follow regular schedules.
