Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The following schedule is being observed:
* Federal, state, county and some city offices are closed.
* City and county libraries are closed.
* Banks and savings and loans are closed.
* Schools are closed.
* There will be no mail pickup or delivery. All post offices are closed, except World Way Air-Mail Center, 5800 Century Blvd., Los Angeles.
* Trash collections will proceed as regularly scheduled.
* Buses and Metrolink trains will follow regular schedules.
