A retired high school teacher, a college director and a former mayor have been chosen by their colleagues on the North Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees to serve as officers for 1997.
Trustees Leonard L. Lahtinen, Nancy M. Rice and Molly McClanahan were selected as president, vice president and secretary, respectively.
Lahtinen, a retired teacher of government, was elected to the board in 1990 to complete an unfinished term and was reelected in 1992.
Rice, interim vice president of fiscal services at Mt. San Antonio Community College, was appointed to the board in 1995 to complete an unfinished term and was elected in November.
Former Fullerton Mayor McClanahan, who is the director of the YWCA’s youth employment services, also was appointed to the board in 1995 to complete an unfinished term and elected two months ago.
