Voter Registration Deadline Nearing

Feb. 3 is the deadline to register to vote in March 4 elections, the Los Angeles County registrar-recorder announced.

Three Valley cities--San Fernando, Calabasas and Hidden Hills--will be among 53 Los Angeles County municipalities holding elections on that date. Residents of Palmdale will also vote on a school bond measure on March 4.

The city of Los Angeles will hold its election on April 8. The deadline for April 8 elections is March 10, 29 days before the date of the election, a spokesman for the registrar-recorder’s office said.

Registration-by-mail forms are available at sites throughout the county, including city halls, post offices, fire stations, libraries and other county buildings. Many banks and savings and loan branches also carry the forms.

Registration assistance is available at the Department of Motor Vehicles and some public service agencies, the registrar-recorder said.
