Rio Mesa High (12-3, 6-0 in league play) will conclude the first round of the Channel League boys’ basketball schedule at home tonight at 7:30 against defending league champion Santa Barbara (9-9, 4-2).

The Spartans, ranked fifth in The Times’ regional poll, have won nine games in a row, paced by seniors Tyrone Nunnery and Scott Fujita.

Nunnery is averaging 15.9 points and 3.2 steals per game and Fujita is averaging 12.2 points and six rebounds.
