Man Arrested After Drug Raid on Home

A 26-year-old Oxnard man was arrested Wednesday after a team of police officers raided his home on the 1200 block of South K Street and found rock cocaine packaged for sale, authorities said.

Christopher Paul Martinez was arrested about 8 a.m. after officers from the Oxnard and Port Hueneme police departments, as well as deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, searched his home and found the drug along with a small amount of marijuana and about $180 in cash, an Oxnard police spokesman said.

Before the raid, the officers had obtained a search warrant after narcotics investigators with the Oxnard police gathered information that Martinez was making street sales of the drug.
