Guadalupe Moreno; 77-Year Resident

Guadalupe Rayos Moreno, a resident of Ventura County for 77 years, died Monday at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura. She was 84.
Moreno was born in Durango, Mexico, on Dec. 12, 1912, and came to the United States as a child. She lived in Saticoy and was a retiree from Oxnard Frozen Foods and a member of the Teamsters Union for 25 years.
Moreno had 20 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Moreno is also survived by her daughters, Gloria Hernandez and Margarita DeLeon, both of Ventura; Helen Moreno of Fillmore and Susan Hernandez of Port Hueneme; her son, Luis Moreno of Ventura; and sister Francisca Mendoza and brother Henry Rayos, both of Oxnard.
A rosary will be recited at 7 tonight at All Saints Episcopal Church, 144 South C St., Oxnard. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Garcia Mortuary, Oxnard.
